Measurement Tools to Support Learning

Every Child Ready: Virtual Teaching Rubric (VTR)

The Every Child Ready Virtual Teaching Rubric is a free professional development resource designed to support teachers in virtual instruction. It defines quality for synchronous and asynchronous virtual instruction for early childhood, providing teachers, leaders, and instructional coaches with a common understanding of quality for virtual instruction.

Every Child Ready includes four direct assessments of children’s early academic skills and one teacher report measure of social-emotional skills. Assessments cover select essential standards and are used to monitor progress throughout the year.

Every Child Ready progress monitoring tools are an integrated part of the instructional model. Educators can choose to use all four assessments or select the ones that work best for their school’s needs.
